Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Portal("the platform," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The service

Portal lets workspace owners publish public venue sites, manage events and posts, run newsletters, and invite members to portal accounts. Features may vary by plan (for example, Portal Free vs. Portal Pro).

Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may belong to multiple workspaces with the same email address.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Workspace owners

If you create or administer a workspace, you additionally agree to:

• Obtain any consents and provide any privacy notices required for your venue, including telling members that signup location (city/region from IP) is collected and visible to you
• Use member data only for legitimate venue operations — not for unrelated marketing or resale
• Comply with applicable laws for email (including CAN-SPAM where relevant) and event communications
• Ensure content you publish does not infringe others' rights or violate law

Workspace owners can view member signup location data in the Users admin view. See our Privacy Policy for how that data is collected and retained.

Portal members

If you join a venue portal as a member (not as a workspace owner), your relationship with that venue is separate from these Terms. The venue is responsible for its public-facing policies. By creating an account, you acknowledge that we estimate your general signup location from your IP address as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to access other users' or workspaces' data without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation or security
• Upload malware or content that violates intellectual property or privacy rights

Content and ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service (for example, showing your events on your public site or sending your newsletter).

Billing

Paid plans are billed according to the pricing shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise.

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Changes and termination

We may modify these Terms or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. You may stop using the platform at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these Terms.
